The Character and Attributes of GOD: Holy

Holy

Verses on The Holiness of GOD: "You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own."-Leviticus 20:26.
"Joshua said to the people, "You are not able to serve the LORD. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins"- Joshua 24:19
"Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you--majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?"-Exodus 15:11
""There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our GOD."-1 Samuel 2:2.
But YOU are holy, O YOU Who dwell in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered].-Psalm 22: 3
"Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, Who was, and is, and is to come." - Revelation 4:8

Define Holy: Dedicated or consecrated to God or a religious purpose; sacred. It is separate, the route word in the Hebrew means "Cut off". Conceiving the theme of being separated unto GOD.

Righteous

"The Rock ! His work isperfect, for all His ways arejust; a God of faithfulness &without injustice, Righteous &upright is He. Deuteronomy 32:4.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness & Thy law is truth Psalms 119:142

Define righteous:
  1. Morally right or justifiable; virtuous.
  2. Perfectly wonderful; fine and genuine. A righteous Being cannot love wickedness and because of GOD's High Authority He is just to damn the wicked.

Baptism is not the same as being Born Again.

What The Bible teaches: "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, n order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. or it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of GOD--not by works, so that no one can boast"-Ephesians 2:6-9.

"
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."-Romans 6:23.
According to The Bible we are saved by faith through GOD's Grace, which as Grace is undeserved.

What the Roman Catholic church teaches:
  • Baptism, by imparting the life of Christ's grace, erases original sin…” (CCC  405).
  • Justification is conferred in Baptism, the sacrament of faith. It conforms us to the righteousness of God, who makes us inwardly just by the power of his mercy,” (CCC 1992).
  • “The grace of Christ is the gratuitous gift that God makes to us of his own life, infused by the Holy Spirit into our soul to heal it of sin and to sanctify it. It is the sanctifying or deifying grace received in Baptism,” (CCC 1999).
According to the Roman Catholic church we are not saved by Grace through Faith in Christ and His Work. But by water baptism.

Its interesting to read what Peter (Who Roman Catholics believe was the first pope) wrote about the subject. "But made alive in the spirit, in which also He went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward GOD. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to Him."-1 Peter 3:19-22.

Christ's Death: Freedom from sin not freedom to sin.

While I was in my world religion class last Friday I heard one of my fellow classmates say "But Jesus died so we can sin." This is the understanding of most "Christians" today, of course these people aren't Christian's at all, they just profess they are and think they are because they said the sinner's prayer or were baptised either as an infant or later on. It is believed that Jesus atoned for the sin of sinful people so that they can still go to Heaven while living a carnal sinful life that gives outward evidence of an inward heart that hates GOD and refuses to obey His will, because they can't, because they won't. In reality Christ's Death both Atoned for sin for protestly sinful people before a just and Holy GOD, and sets people free from their sins. Christ died so that men and woman might be free from the chains of sin and put on the chains of righteousness and obedience to GOD's will. This freedom does not come from our own will or works, but from GOD's Holy Spirit changing us when we are Regenerated or Born Again. The following verses clearly show that Christ came so that we might be free from sin, if you think I'm mistaken, I ask that you playfully consider the following six verses.

The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 18“The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed Me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” 20Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, 21and he began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
-Luke 4:17-21
31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” 34Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37I know you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are ready to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you do what you have heard from your father.”-John 8:31-38.

"He himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed."--(1 Peter 2:24)

"4Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him."--(1 John 3:4-6)

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord."-(Romans 6:22-23)

"1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, GOD did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."-Romans 8:1-4.

Living longer?

It is generally believed by people today that we are living much longer then we use to, as a human race. Often theories such as evolution accompany this way of thinking, that men came from apes and evolved into human-like primates and then became simple humans who lived maybe as much as twenty to thirty years. But does The Bible agree with this theory? And does history agree with this theory? Lets find out: The Bible tells us that the names and ages of the first humans, and although some try to "contextualize" these passages, it is quite plan it is to be taken literally, as one might see upon reading the text. We learn that throughout the 5th millennium BC (5000-4000 BC) and 4th millennium (4000 BC-3000 BC) several men surpassed the age of 800, these include people such as Adam (living to 930 ), Enos (950) and Methuselah (969) and many more. We see that by the 3rd millennium BC (3000 BC-2000 BC) people were living much shorter then they formerly did, for example Abraham lived till age 175 years which is still much longer then people live in our time but compared to just 1500 years previously this is very short. Another example is Abraham's wife Sarah who lived 127 years.

And so we see that such a theory is incorrect, people by The Bible's definition of men use to live longer, even by hundreds of years. The Bible also says in Psalms "The length of our days is seventy years--or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away." (Psalm 90:10) This psalm is attributed to Moses, who lived in about the 14th century BC. This is the average age people in north America are living today and yet were supposed to believe we are living longer?

So why did people live so long prior to the flood?
One theory is that prior to the flood water surrounded the Earth as supposedly mentioned in (Genesis 7:11 as "flood gates")
this theory would explain why people lived for so many years, as the water would prevent the sun's harmful rays from harming early humans skin and plant cells. This is one of many reasons humans lived so long, others include:
1-Because it was GOD who created Adam, then Eve from a part of Adam, the genes would be pure and perfect and as they had children these genes would remain is much better shape then our corrupt genes we have today.

Question people ask about GOD

Where did GOD come from?
He always existed and is eternal, therefore there was no time when He came into being.

Who created GOD?
GOD is eternal and was before time was created. No one created GOD and there was no need for GOD's creation because He was before time, space and matter were created and is Eternal, He was and is and IS to come (Revelation 1:8

How did GOD become GOD? Where does He get His authority from?
Nothing was before GOD and nothing is not existent, therefore cannot have greater authority over GOD. GOD created all things through His Word (His Son) (Colossians 1:15-16) therefore He has authority over them.

"There is evil, therefore there is no GOD"
GOD created people, by their sins they ruined GOD's perfect creation and GOD, as a just GOD must condemn sinners as this is just, for if GOD is not just how can He judge us? (Romans 3:6) Even if GOD were to allow evil and even create it, that doesn't mean He some how doesn't exist... Not that is true.

Plagiarism from The Bible in Mormon text

Although Mormons claim that the book of Mormon comes from GOD, it is very obvious that some of its contents were robbed directly from The Bible, and that Joesph Smith (The founder of Mormonism) simply copied from The Bible and wrote it in the book of Mormon. Below I (hope) to supply you with many examples.

If you would like to see the plagiarism compare Genesis 1 to The book of "Abraham" 4, it doesn't take a genius to see that this is clearly proof that Joesph Smith copied the book of Mormon from parts of The Bible, it only takes one who is willing to seek for GOD's Truth and who has eyes to read or ears to listen.

Also you can compare Genesis 2 to The book of  "Abraham" 5.

The demonic

What The Holy Bible says about the demonic: ``43“When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”-Matthew 12:43-45.

``21They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. 23Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evile spirit cried out, 24“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!” 25“Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!” 26The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. 27The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching—and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.” 28News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.``-Mark 1:21-28.

``26They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,b which is across the lake from Galilee. 27When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” 29For Jesus had commanded the evilc spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. 30Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” “Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31And they begged him repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. 32A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into them, and he gave them permission.33When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. 34When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, 35and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 36Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured. 37Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left. 38The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39“Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.``
-Luke 8:26-39.
``Whenever the evila spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was.``-Mark 3:11.

``But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. 19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.``-James 2:18-19.

``12The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. 13No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people. 14Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number. 15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evila spirits, and all of them were healed.``-Acts 5:12-16.

``The rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.`-Rev 9:20-21.

`They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of GOD Almighty.`` (Rev 16:14)

What we know about demons from The Bible.
They know who Jesus is and they are afraid of Him (Acts 19:15 , Luke:8:28, James 2:18-19)

Why I love Jesus but hate religion responses

The video has had millions and millions of views, which is a very large amount for a Christian video, perhaps GOD has used it greatly. However not everyone liked or agreed with the video or the poetry writer Jefferson Bethke .
Here are some of the ways each categorized group responses.

Atheists: Atheists are upset about the video because they understand Christianity to be a religion, which according to the dicinary differnation, but it is very different compared to other religions, in that it is by GOD's Grace through faith and not by following man-made rules or a diractor that claims to speak for GOD.

Catholics: Catholics, thinking themselves as Christians are rebuking the poetry writer, some lightly and others more harshly. They, thinking the only true Christian church is theirs (While in reality it is not really Christian at all.) try to justify a works based salvation and try to show religion (specifly the roman catholic church) is not perfect, but is to be summited to by all who call themselves Christian.

Selecurists: At least one person seems to have a very religous works based system when they think about Christianity. Perhaps they are or were a Anglican, Catholic, Jehovah`s witness or a Mormon. Which would explain why they don`t understand what Christianity really is.

New age/ truth is objectors: The New age, buddhaists, hindus type, seem to be (At least based on one video)
that he is wrong because ``Jesus wanted to abolish religion, so that`s who they named your religion after`` this is an example of a point. Like many New age, buddhist and hindu types he seems to not believe the obvious truth of the law of non-contradiction. Which states that truth cannot contradict. He says he prays to ``Bhama, to YEHWAH, to Allah. Which is utterly riticilise because The True GOD is very different from both Bhama and Allah. Their nature and words contradict each other, they cannot all be as it has been said ``All one GOD``

Why I hate religion, but love Jesus

A video has had millions of views on youtube. You might know of it and watched it yourself, so far it has attracted many video replys, many in forms of poetry. Here is the video.

A Muslim replied to the video and argued against True Christianity, however he made many errors to which Dr. James White, a Christian Reformed apoligetence replied. Here is the Muslim response:
