Ten things many Roman Catholics believe about Mary that may surprise you

1.) That Mary should be prayed to, along with the dead saints. 

2.) That Mary assented into Heaven, prior to death. 

3.) That Mary was sinless when she conceived Jesus. 

4.) That Mary may be called "The queen of Heaven", the "Mother of God", "The medatrix" and "holy queen." 

5.) That she can be contacted and should be by the rosary; beads that some Catholics repeat prayers on, one such prayer is "Hail Mary."

6.) That Mary atoned for the sins of mankind in some way. 

7.) That Mary, along with the deceased saints are mediators.
