Ten things many Roman Catholics believe about Mary that may surprise you

1.) That Mary should be prayed to, along with the dead saints. 

2.) That Mary assented into Heaven, prior to death. 

3.) That Mary was sinless when she conceived Jesus. 

4.) That Mary may be called "The queen of Heaven", the "Mother of God", "The medatrix" and "holy queen." 

5.) That she can be contacted and should be by the rosary; beads that some Catholics repeat prayers on, one such prayer is "Hail Mary."

6.) That Mary atoned for the sins of mankind in some way. 

7.) That Mary, along with the deceased saints are mediators. 

8.) That it is acceptable to bow down to statues of her. 

9.) That Jesus isn't the only Way to GOD, Mary is also a way. 

10.) That groups are that are fully dedicated to "Mary", constantly pray to her and have statues of her are not worshiping her, they are simply adoring her.

The fig tree argument

The argument:
You Christians claim that Jesus is GOD (The Creator of all things) how did Jesus not know in
 Matthew 21:18-22, that the fig tree was out of season?

1.) "He did so because the fig tree represented the people of Israel and He had the application the people of Israel look like they have fruit but they do not..."-Dr. James White.

2.) Jesus' cursing of the fig tree was used by Jesus to amaze His disciples, in doing this miracle He caused them to ask " “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” Jesus replies “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. ²² If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” and so Jesus cursed the fig tree in order to teach His disciples in a practical way. 


3.) Jesus had lived in Israel (That was spit into three separate parts under Roman rule.) He obviously would have known as GOD and as man when a fig tree is in season... (Continue with another response.)

Prophecy about Jesus Suffering, Death and Resurrection.

 ¹ Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? ² He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,  nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him. ³ He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces He was despised, and we held Him in low esteem.⁴ Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by GOD, stricken by Him, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by his wounds we are healed. ⁶ We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. ⁷ He was oppressed and afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; He was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He did not open His mouth. ⁸ By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of His generation protested? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people He was punished. ⁹ He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His Death, though He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth.¹⁰ Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes His life an offering for sin, He will see His offspring and prolong His days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in His hand. ¹¹ After He has suffered, He will see the light of life^[d] and be satisfied^[e];  by His knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, 

 and he will bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,^[g] 
   and he will divide the spoils with the strong,^[h] because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."-Isaiah 53.

   He has done it!"-Psalm 22. 

 "⁷ “The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. ⁸ On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD going before them. ⁹ On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem. ¹⁰ “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. Prophecy about Jesus' birth

"1Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan—2The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. 3You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder. 4For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. 5Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. 6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this." -Isaiah 9:1-7.
