Biblical verses on The Doctrine of Assurance
Matthew 7:
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
The tests
(Walking in the Light)
Test 1: "5 This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin."-1 John 1:5-7.
Questions to ask yourself
Do you really walk in the light?
Test 2: "8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word is not in us."-1 John 1:8-10. (Confession of Sin)
Test 3: 1 John 2:3-4 (Obedience)
"3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person."-1 John 2:3-4.
Questions to ask yourself
Do I keep His commandments? Do I use GOD's Name in vain, swear in GOD's Name, lie, steal, hate, look with lust or fail to love people and treat them as I would like to be treated on a daily basis, without feeling conviction?
Test 4: 1 John 2:9-11 (Love for the Brethren)
"9 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. 10Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them."
-1 John 2:9-11
Questions to ask yourself
Do I dearly love other Christians? Even when your theology may differ?
Test 5: 1 John 2:15-17 (Hatred for the World)
"15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever."
Test 6: 1 John 2:24-25 (Perseverance in Doctrine)
"24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—Eternal Life."-1 John 2:24-25.
Question to ask yourself
Do I continue to believe completely the same Message that is the Biblical power of GOD or do I change The Message to attempt to make it more appealing to people, such as taking away from peoples' sinfulness or changing GOD's Character of Wrath.
Test 7: (Righteousness)
"This is how we know who the children of GOD are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister."-1 John 3:10.
Test 8: 1 John 4:13 (Spirit's Testimony)
"This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of His Spirit."-1 John 4:13.
At your possible Conversion, did The Holy Spirit of GOD really enter you? Did your life change and continue to change today? Do you have a love for The GOD you once hated? Do you have a hatred for the sin you once loved?
Test 9: Hebrews 12:5-8 (Discipline)
Matthew 7:
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law."
"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?"- 2 Corinthians 13:5
"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life."- 1 John 5:13
The Doctrine is vital for you to understand, it is very important that we test ourselves with Holy Scripture to see if Christ is truly in us, if we are Christian and if we are really going to spend Eternity in Heaven not Eternal Hell.

Questions to ask yourself
Do I love, inspire and seek the world? Do I desire "What is in vain?" Do I want poplularity with men, do I want to be praised by them? Do I want much money for my self, that love for is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10) Do I want woman? That lusting after is the same as adultry (Matthew 5:27-28) do I want materal things that will be destroyed? (2 Peter 3:10)

Do you do what's right? Do you love other Christians? Do you spend time in prayer, not just asking but seeking GOD? Do you tell others about What Christ has Done? Do you give to charity? Feed the hungary? And cloth the naked? Do you do these things for GOD's glory in humblity or for yourself in pride? Is there a pretty constate theme of holiness, without which no man will see GOD (Hebrew )
in your life, not by human standerds but by GOD's?
Test 8: 1 John 4:13 (Spirit's Testimony)
"This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of His Spirit."-1 John 4:13.

Test 9: Hebrews 12:5-8 (Discipline)
"5 And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says,
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a]
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”[a]
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all."-Hebrews 12:5-8.
Am I disciplined by GOD when I fall into sin? Or is there no discipline?
