Nineveh was once thought to be a mythological city by many skeptics in the eighteen hundreds (?) but through archaeological digs we have found the city and as we advance in our knowledge of science and history the Bible gains more and more support. The city was discovered in 1840 and this find provided us with writings that support The Bible such as the Babylonian creation story and the latter tablets of the epic of Gilgamesh which seem to be a retelling of Creation and The Flood.
